Today I spend some time in my studio to text out a new contact microphone in combination with something I wanted for some time. Play these small monotron synths through small speakers on a set of drum kit parts. Mix them with my beloved Korg MS-20. Studies in nearly no movement music. Just a bunch of ideas really. This could have been Goem like too, I was thinking. Minor, very minor editing, no mastering, just a bunch of ideas. Download this as a wav, since I think it has more in there then perhaps it has a mp3 - how would I know. A free album!

Rather than describe what this sounds like (a futile task), I will describe how it makes me feel. First it is much like white noise, blocking the world around me. It's just me and whatever I happen to be giving my attention to with no distractions or external worries. Then it is energizing and uplifting. I have more focus and energy. These soundscapes get me in the zone to help me concentrate on whatever I'm doing, whether it be washing dishes or scrolling Facebook. And it sounds damn cool too. dharmalogos

K2 with an approach that I've never heard before. None of the noise cutups that I've come to associate with the project rather we have a more synth based release. Side one has a creeping synth piece plodding along that really put me in the right headspace. Side two has a more MB-ish approach by having a wash of sound with aspects that peek through every now and again. Not as muddy as MB though, all the sounds are very distinct. This is another great release from this act! miredsounds
